Guia passo a passo
Passo 1: Prepare the rock
Wash and dry your rock. An oval or round rock works well as a watermelon slice. Cover your workspace with newspaper.
Passo 2: Paint the green rind
Paint the outer edge of the rock with dark green paint to create the rind — about 1–2 cm wide all around. Let dry.
Passo 3: Paint the white inner rind
Inside the green rind, add a thin white stripe to separate the rind from the red flesh.
Passo 4: Fill with red flesh
Fill the center area with bright red paint. Apply two coats for vivid color. Let each coat dry fully.
Passo 5: Add seeds and seal
Using black paint and a toothpick, scatter 5–8 oval watermelon seed shapes across the red flesh. Seal with clear sealant when dry.
- A half-circle shaped rock looks exactly like a watermelon slice.
- Add light green zigzag stripes on the dark green rind for realism.
- Keep seeds oval and pointed — watermelon seeds have a distinct teardrop shape.
- A gloss sealant makes the red flesh look juicy and fresh.
- These bright summer rocks are wonderful for hiding at the park.
