Step-by-Step Instructions

1

Step 1: Paint a bold red heart

Wash and dry your rock. Sketch a large heart shape taking up most of the rock surface. Paint it with deep red paint, applying two to three coats for a rich, solid base. The heart should be vivid and confident — not delicate. Add touches of scarlet toward the center for luminosity.

2

Step 2: Add a golden inner glow

While the red is dry, paint a smaller heart shape in bright gold or orange-gold inside the larger red heart, slightly off-center or centered. This golden inner heart represents the bravery that lives inside the outer shell of courage — the light within that drives brave action.

3

Step 3: Add a shield or armor detail

Paint a simple shield shape overlapping the bottom of the heart — like the heart is protected by a shield. This symbolizes the protective power of courage. The shield can be gold, dark gray, or outlined in gold. Add simple lines on the shield for a heraldic look.

4

Step 4: Write "BRAVE" or "COURAGE"

Using white or gold paint and a fine brush, write "BRAVE", "COURAGE", "BE BOLD", or your own empowering word across the heart. Position the text so it overlaps both the heart and the shield. The word should be bold, clear, and proud.

5

Step 5: Add stars and gold accents, then seal

Dot gold stars around the heart using a toothpick. Add white highlight lines on the outer curve of the red heart to suggest dimensional depth. Apply gloss sealant to give the courage heart a powerful, polished finish.

Step 6: Add RoxGeo Code

On the bottom or back of your rock, write ROXGEO.COM followed by a slash and your rock’s unique code (e.g. ROXGEO.COM/ABC123). This lets the finder go directly to your rock’s profile page and log their discovery. If the rock is too small for the full address, write #ROX followed by the code without spaces (e.g. #ROXABC123) — it’s short, easy to search on Google, and leads straight to your rock’s journey page. Use a fine-tip permanent marker or acrylic paint pen, and seal it with clear varnish so the code stays readable through rain, sun, and adventure.
